Charts: Why the Janus-Faced Banking Stocks? PSEi Banks Versus The Rest
Banks stocks have behaved divergently.
PSYEi banks have outperformed…
…Leaving all the other financial bank index in the dust.
That is of course, with the exception of AUB, which hasn’t been affected by the market’s volatility.
Other listed bank stocks PBB, PBC, PTC, CSB and PSB have hardly been different from the dominant dynamic: They are all down. Low liquidity differentiates the latter. So charts are spotty.
Why the divergence between the PSEi banks and the rest?
Because of...
Earnings?
Oversold bounce?
Rising tide will eventually lift all boats?
Advertisement to solicit funds from the public?
Part of the grand scheme to boost the index?
Anything else to add?
